Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-17
Summary
You can cancel your Property Appraiser Pro subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for partial billing periods except in the limited circumstances described below or as required by applicable law.
1. How to Cancel
Cancel online in two clicks:
- Log into your account at propertyappraiserpro.com.
- Navigate to Settings → Billing → Manage Billing, then select "Cancel Subscription" in the Stripe-hosted Customer Portal that opens.
You may also cancel by emailing support@propertyappraiserpro.com from the email address associated with your account. We will process email cancellations within one (1) business day and reply with confirmation.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your then-current billing period. You retain full access to all paid features during that time.
2. Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew for successive periods of the same length at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. This is disclosed before each purchase in a prominent notice adjacent to the checkout button and confirmed in an email acknowledgment after purchase.
For subscriptions with a term longer than one (1) month, Company sends a written renewal reminder to the email on file for your account no less than 15 days and no more than 30 days before the renewal date, as required under New York General Obligations Law §5-903. You are responsible for keeping the email address on your account current.
3. Post-Purchase Acknowledgment
After you complete a purchase or renewal, Company sends a written acknowledgment to the email on file for your account confirming:
- The subscription plan selected.
- The total amount charged.
- The renewal date.
- The renewal price.
- Instructions to cancel.
If you do not receive this acknowledgment within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact support@propertyappraiserpro.com.
4. What Happens After Cancellation
- Your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period. You retain access to all paid features during that time.
- After the period ends, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier. No further charges are made.
- Your workfile data is retained per our Privacy Policy, which aligns default retention with the USPAP five-year workfile retention requirement. You may export your workfile data at any time through the Platform.
- We recommend exporting your data before the end of your final billing period if you plan to migrate to another platform.
5. Refund Eligibility
Because this is a business-to-business subscription service for licensed professionals, we generally do not issue prorated refunds for partial periods after cancellation. Refunds are issued in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate charges resulting from a billing error on our side.
- Service unavailability exceeding 48 consecutive hours due to our systems (not due to issues with your internet connection, third-party integrations, or factors outside our reasonable control). Refunds in this case are prorated for the affected period.
- Good-faith resolution of billing disputes we determine warrant a refund, at our reasonable discretion.
- As required by applicable law, including the auto-renewal statutes of New York (GBL §527-a; GOL §5-903), California, and other jurisdictions in which we conduct business.
To request a refund, email support@propertyappraiserpro.com with your account email and a description of the issue within 30 days of the charge. We will investigate and respond within ten (10) business days.
6. Annual Plans
Annual plans are billed upfront at a discount compared with monthly billing. Cancellation of an annual plan does not generate a prorated refund. Your access continues through the end of the annual term at which point the subscription reverts to the Free tier.
Annual plans auto-renew on their anniversary. We send the renewal reminder described in Section 2 at least 15 days before the anniversary date.
7. Chargebacks and Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@propertyappraiserpro.com before initiating a chargeback with your card issuer. We resolve the vast majority of billing issues within one business day.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension pending resolution. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks that we believe were initiated without good-faith attempt to resolve the matter directly.
8. Failed Payments and Grace Period
If a scheduled payment fails, our payment processor (Stripe) will automatically retry the charge on an optimized schedule. During the retry period (up to 21 days):
- You continue to have access to the Service.
- You will receive email notifications about the failed payment and how to update your payment method.
- You may update your payment method at any time through Settings → Billing → Manage Billing.
If the account remains unpaid after the retry period, access may be suspended and the subscription canceled. Restoration of access requires payment of outstanding fees. Any data you exported before cancellation remains yours; unexported data is retained for a reasonable period per the Privacy Policy.
